Terms & Conditions
Please find below our full Terms and Conditions. By checking the box you are hereby agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
1) Payments
a) All fees must be paid either at time of booking via the online payment system or 14 days after the first trial or Open Days (which are Free to all including existing customers) if paying by another method.
b) Fees paid via the online payment system is subject to a charge of xx%. If paying by another method charge does not apply.
c) Any late fees are subject to a £10 late payment fee, which will able after the 14 days.
d) Payments accepted: online payment system, BACS, Card, Cash, Cheque and monthly payments.
e) Monthly payments can be a set amount and will go towards the payment of Fees, Standard Uniform and Show Costumes.
f) One off payments include: Fees for Exams, Competitions, Branded and Personalised Uniform including branded school accessories, Rehearsals for Shows and Private lessons. These payments will be invoiced separately either via the online payment system or by paper invoice.
g) If fees/payments remain outstanding your child may not be allowed to participate in classes and court action maybe be brought against you to recover the outstanding balance.
2) Cancellations, Absences and Refunds:
a) If a class is cancelled due to unexpected circumstances a message will be sent out ASAP.
b) The school will aim to provide a replacement session, if this is not possible only then will customers receive a refund via a credit on their account.
c) If a child is absent parents/carers must inform the school ASAP via text message. Refunds will not be provided for absences, however children who are absent are invited to make up the missed class.
d) If a child can not make a replacement class for a cancellation, class fees will not be refunded as a replacement has be provided.
e) If a child decides not to continue classes part way through a term refunds will not be given.
f) If a child decides not to return to classes, 28 days notice must be given in writing to school (this can be sent via email) before the new term starts. Failing to do so will incur class Fees and to cancel will incur a cancellation fee of £15.
3) Discounts, Golden Tickets and Promotions
a) Discounts are applied to fees at the school discretion.
b) Discounts that the school offers: Siblings, 2 or more classes, Introduce a Friend and Golden Tickets.
c) Golden Tickets can be used to pay for Fees or Uniform and accessories (includes any branded items but not personalised items)
d) Occasionally the school will run a promotion. This maybe done via Social Media, Email etc. This promotion may take the form of a competition, invitations for Introduce a Friend or Open Days.
e) The school has the right to withdraw any of these promotions at anytime.
f) What the school gives as rewards from these promotions is at the school's discretion.
4) Exams, Shows, Competitions and Events
a) The school will work towards ISTD exams currently in Cecchetti Ballet and Modern/Jazz (more styles to be added) Pupils will only be entire into exams when they have reached the required standard decide by the teacher. The school has the right to withdraw any pupil from an examination at any stage.
b) Fees for exams must be received by the school by the date on the invoice. Late fees will result in a late payment fee of £10 and if the fee goes unpaid the child will be removed from the examination.
c) Monies for Show costumes must be received before the date on the invoice. Any late payments will incur a late payment fee of £10, failure to settle payment for costumes will result in your child not participating in the performances.
d) Rehearsals and Dress Rehearsals for Shows, competitions and events will incur a hall hire fee of £5 per rehearsal/dress rehearsal for each family.
e) Competitions will be subject to fees. In house competitions i.e Choreography Competition, will have an entry fee of £3 per child and must be paid by the date on the entry form.
f) Outside competitions and events maybe subject to fees and amount and deadline date will be set by the Organisation that is hosting the competition/event. The school is not responsible for these competitions/events.
g) All children will be invited to take part in events/shows/competitions and are expected to be committed to the event/show/competition by attending all rehearsal/dress rehearsals and performance for these. Any child failing to do this maybe removed from the event/show/competition and no refund will be given.
h) If the event/show/competition is cancelled by the school and no other dates can be found then fees will be refund for any rehearsals that need to be cancelled as a result and refunds for costumes will also be issued unless the outfit wishes to be kept or is damaged.
i) Discounts given on costumes will be at the schools discretion.
5) Uniform and School accessories
a) All pupils are expected to wear the full uniform that is specified by the school. Only uniform allowed by the school should be worn. Pupils will be asked to remove non uniform items or they may not be allowed to take part in a class if they are not wearing the correct uniform.
b) Uniform and accessories must be paid for at the time of ordering and can be purchased through the school. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery of standard uniform and 8 weeks for branded items and accessories.
c) Exchanges/refunds will only be allowed in items that are the wrong size or faulty. These don't include Personalised items and tights.
d) A list of all uniform, accessories and prices are available from the school.
6) Other School Business
a) The school does not discriminate on background, race or religion, regularly monitors staff to maintain school teaching policies and adheres to Health and Safety procedures to ensure that each child dances in a class appropriate to their level of development.
b) From time to time it is necessary for the teachers to use physical contact when helping to improve pupils’ posture or assist in movements. This includes physical contact between students ie. holding hands.
c) Parents/carers please ensure that all children go to the toilet before class and brings a bottle of water if desired into the studio.
d) Pupils will be asked to leave without notice for any serious breach of the school’s terms and conditions or for any other serious misconduct.
